Claims 3, 5, 7, and 9-19 are pending in the present application. 

Claims 1, 2, 4, and 8 have been canceled. 
Claims 3 and 5-7 have been amended. 
Claims 9-19 have been added. 

The amendment of Claims 3 and 5-7 is supported by the corresponding claims as 
originally presented and the specification, for example at page 3, line 17 to page 5, line 37. 
New Claims 9-11 are supported by the specification as originally filed, for example at page 6, 
lines 1-25. New Claims 12-13 are supported by the specification as originally filed, for 
example at page 7, line 32 to page 8, line 1. New Claim 14 is supported by the specification 
as originally filed, for example at page 8, lines 2-6. New Claim 15 is supported by the 
specification as originally filed, for example at page 8, line 26 to page 9, line 4. New Claims 
16-19 are supported by the specification as originally filed, for example at page 9, line 5-16. 

The specification has also been amended at page 3, line 17 to page 5, line 37 to 
remove reference to the "claims." 

No new matter has been added by the present amendments. 

The present application is a continuation of U.S. 10/046,313, filed on January 16, 
2002, which claims priority to Japanese application No. JP 2001-009464, filed on January 17, 
2001. 

The Sequence Listing for the present application is identical to the computer readable 
Sequence Listing in parent application U.S. 10/046,313 filed on October 1, 2002 (a paper 
copy of this Sequence Listing is appended herewith). In accordance with 37 C.F.R.

§ 1.821(e), Applicants have requested that the Patent Office use the last filed computer 
readable form filed in that application as the computer readable form for the present 
application. It is understood that the Patent Office will make the necessary change in 
application number and filing date for the present application. In the event the Office 
encounters difficulty in obtaining a copy of the Sequence Listing from the parent application, 
Applicants request that the Office contact their undersigned Representative by telephone to 
avoid any delays in examination. 

Applicants submit that the present application is in condition for allowance. Early
